Set up your workspace in 10 minutes
The few things worth doing on day one: your hours, your leads, your team, how messages go out and a first automation.
Updated
Your workspace starts with a pipeline built for your industry, a 14-day free trial of the plan you picked and a set of starter message templates. The steps below take it from empty to ready for real leads. Do them in any order; each one takes a minute or two.
Look at what you already have
When you signed up you picked an industry. That set your pipeline's stages and what a won and a lost deal are called. For real estate the stages are New Lead, Contacted, Follow Up, Interested, Appointment and Under Contract; a won deal is Closed and a lost one is Dead. Open Pipeline to see yours. Owners and admins can rename, reorder, add or remove stages and set each one's win rate in Pipeline settings: see Move deals through your pipeline.
Set your working hours
- 1. Open Availability. It's also My availability in the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar.
- 2. Adjust your Weekly hours and check your Time zone.
- 3. Press Save changes, or Ctrl S.
Booking pages only offer times inside these hours, and the calendar shades the rest.
Bring in your leads
- 1. Open Leads.
- 2. Press Import CSV to bring in a spreadsheet, or New lead to add one person. N opens New lead from any page.
Import your leads from a spreadsheet explains how columns are matched. To have new leads from Zillow, Realtor.com, Facebook or Google ads, or your website come in on their own, add a lead source.
Invite your team
- 1. Open Team and press Invite someone.
- 2. Enter their email, pick a Role and, if you use teams, a Team.
- 3. Press Send invite. We email them a link to join. If the invite can't be emailed yet, an Invite link appears under the form instead: copy it and send it to them yourself.
Check how messages and calls go out
- Email: each person connects their own Gmail, Outlook or domain email in My account, so emails to leads go out from their own address. See Connect your email.
- Channels shows whether texts reach your leads. Practice mode means they're saved in the app but not sent, so you can try everything safely. Texts and calls go out from numbers in your own phone account, linked once: press Ask us to link it and our team links it with you. Channels also has your workspace's address for booking and client request emails.
- Calling shows Practice mode until your phone account is linked. Calls placed in the browser or by ringing your phone work end to end in the app, but nothing is dialed.
Link your phone account and workspace email explains what going live takes.
Turn on your first automation
- 1. Open Automations.
- 2. Under Start from a recipe, find Reply to new leads in seconds and press Use this recipe.
- 3. Read the steps, then flip the switch next to Off.
From then on every new lead gets a text right away, and their owner gets a task to call them. In practice mode the text is saved on the lead, not sent.
Set this month's goal
On the Dashboard, the goal card says Set this month's goal until there is one. Owners and admins can click it to set a company goal and one per person.
Start your day
Press Start my day on the dashboard, or F on any page. It lines up today's appointments, new leads waiting on a reply and tasks that are due, one at a time.
