Invite your team and pick roles
Add teammates, choose what each one can see and do, and keep seats in check.
Updated
Everyone who works your leads should have their own login, so calls, texts and tasks are logged under the right name. Owners and admins invite people from the Team page.
Send an invite
- 1. Open Team. You can also pick Invite teammate from the + New menu in the top bar.
- 2. Press Invite someone, or scroll to the Invite someone card.
- 3. Enter their Email.
- 4. Pick a Role. The menu says what each one sees: Admin sees everything, Manager their team, Agent their own leads, Viewer everything read-only.
- 5. Optional: pick a Team.
- 6. Press Send invite.
We email them an invite from ControlLaunchPad: who invited them, the workspace, their role, a Join button and when it expires. The link works for 7 days.
If we can't email the invite yet, the page says "We couldn't email this invite yet. Copy the link and send it yourself." The Invite link appears under the form with Copy link; send it to them by text or email.
Invites always carry one of the built-in roles. On Business and up you can give someone a custom role once they've joined.
Joining
The link opens a Join page with your workspace's name, who invited them, their role (and team, if you picked one) and the date the invite works until. New people choose a name and password; people who already have a ControlLaunchPad login enter their password. Then they press Accept invitation and land on the dashboard.
Pending invites
Invites that haven't been accepted are listed under Pending invites, with when each was emailed (or "Not emailed: share the link") and how long it has left.
- Resend emails the same link again and gives it another 7 days. It's there when invites can be emailed, and you can resend a few times a day.
- Copy link copies the link to send yourself.
- Revoke cancels the invite, so the link stops working.
Pending invites don't use a seat until they're accepted. If your team has filled the plan's seats by then, the person who accepts takes an extra seat without asking you again (see Seats below). Once every seat is taken, extra ones included, an invite can't be accepted until a seat is free.
Pick the right role
- Admin: everything except billing. Invites people, changes settings and channels.
- Manager: sees their team's leads and unassigned ones. Runs automations, campaigns, forms and booking pages.
- Agent: sees only the leads assigned to them. Calls, texts, emails and updates them.
- Viewer: sees everything, changes nothing.
On Business and up you can also make custom roles, like a showing assistant who sees only their own leads and can't text, email or call. Roles and who can see what has the details, including how teams work.
Change a role later
On the Team page, each person's row has a Role menu and a Team menu. The Role menu lists the built-in roles and, on Business and up, your custom roles. Changes apply right away, with Undo. The owner's role can't be changed here, and nobody can change their own.
Seats
Each active person uses one seat. Each plan includes a number of seats: 3 on Starter and 10 on Pro, and Business has unlimited seats. Past that, your team can grow a little without changing plans: Starter takes up to 2 extra seats and Pro up to 4, at the same price per seat. The count sits next to the Team title, for example "10 of 10 seats · 2 of 4 extra".
When you invite or reactivate someone after the plan's seats are full, a dialog says what the extra seat costs (one more seat at your plan's price, monthly or yearly) and asks you to confirm first. It also offers the bigger plan instead. An invite's seat is added, and charged, when it's accepted.
When every seat is taken, extra ones included (5 on Starter, 14 on Pro), the invite card says so and offers See plans: upgrade from Starter to Pro, or from Pro to Business for unlimited seats. You can also free a seat: open the person's ... menu and choose Deactivate. They can't log in any more, their leads, deals and history stay as they are, and Reactivate brings them back.
Tip: Billing shows your seats on the Usage card, and Plans & pricing compares every plan.
