Capture leads with a form

Build a form for your website, a listing or an open house, and every response becomes a lead with an owner and a follow-up.

Updated

Lead-capture forms turn visitors into leads. Share a link, put the form on your website or print a QR code for the door. Every response becomes a lead, or updates one you already have, and starts your follow-up.

Make a form

  1. 1. Open Forms.
  2. 2. Under Start from a template, press Use template on one that fits: Contact us, plus, for real estate, Buyer inquiry, Home valuation and Open house sign-in. Or press New form.
  3. 3.

    On the Build tab:

    • Page: the title, a short intro and the button's words.
    • Fields: press Add field for contact details, your industry's qualification questions, your custom fields (the answer is saved on the lead, with the right input for the field: an amount, a date, a choice), your own questions (short answer, paragraph, single choice or multiple choice), consent boxes for texts and email updates, and hidden answers every lead from this form gets. Turn Required on where it matters. Drag the handle to reorder.
    • After they submit: a thank-you on the same page, or your own page instead.

The preview beside it shows the form as visitors see it, on a desktop or a phone.

  4. 4. On the Settings tab, decide what new leads look like: their Source and Tags, whether to Add to the pipeline (and in which stage: your default pipeline's first stage unless you pick another, in any pipeline), Who gets them (Leave unassigned, One person or Take turns) and a Nurture campaign to start.
  5. 5. Press Publish.

A form needs an email or phone field to go live, so you can reach the people who fill it out.

Share it

The Share tab has three ways in:

  • Link: the form's own page. Copy it into a listing, a text or your social profiles.
  • Embed on your website: press Copy code and paste the two lines into your site where the form should appear.
  • QR code: download a PNG for print or an SVG that stays sharp at any size.

What each response does

  1. 1. The answers are checked for spam and saved with the form.
  2. 2. They become a lead. Someone you already have (same email or phone) is updated instead, and keeps their owner.
  3. 3. A deal opens in the stage you chose, the owner is assigned and the campaign starts, if you set them.
  4. 4. Your automations run: anything set for A form is submitted or a new lead.

See how it's doing

The numbers under the header show Views, Responses, New leads and Conversion (responses out of views). The Responses tab lists every submission with the lead it created or matched.

Pause or take it down

The switch in the header pauses a live form: visitors see that it isn't taking responses. Move back to drafts in the ... menu stops the link working until you publish again.

Good to know

  • Responses are never capped. How many forms you can have depends on your plan: Billing shows your plan's limit and how many you use on the Usage card.
  • Owners, admins and managers can build forms.
  • Ctrl S saves your changes.
