Who changed what: the audit log

A plain-words history of who changed what: plan, people and roles, sign-in security, leads, tasks, campaigns and automations, settings and more.

Updated

The Audit log answers "who changed that, and when?". Each change is one sentence, like "Olivia changed the plan from Pro to Business" or "Marcus invited ava@example.com as Agent", newest first.

It's in Settings in the sidebar, for owners, admins and anyone whose custom role includes Audit log. It's on Business and Enterprise.

What it records

  • People and roles: invites sent, resent and revoked, people joining, role and team changes, custom roles made, changed and deleted, seats turned off and on, and ownership handed over.
  • Account security: two-step sign-in turned on or off, new backup codes, passwords and sign-in emails changed, and devices signed out.
  • Plan and billing: plan changes, and when a free trial ended.
  • Workspace: the workspace's name, industry and time zone, AI switched on or off, two-step sign-in required or not, the team's email alerts, sample data added or removed, and audit log exports.
  • Leads: lead list exports, leads deleted (one or many), bulk assign, tag and move, imports and their undo, Don't text and Don't email turned on or off, merges, the Do Not Call list, and dialing sessions.
  • Tasks and client requests: tasks deleted in bulk, and client requests deleted.
  • Campaigns and automations: created (including with the AI automation builder), edited, started, paused and deleted, and automation runs retried or dismissed.
  • Texting, calling and support settings: your texting, calling and client request settings.
  • Forms and Booking pages: created, edited, published, paused and deleted.
  • Pipelines and stages: pipelines added, renamed, reordered, made the default and deleted (with where their deals went), and stages added, renamed, reordered, deleted, given a new win rate or set to start closing trackers.
  • Goals and availability.
  • Reports and exports: saved reports made, changed and deleted, the weekly report email, and report downloads.
  • Custom fields: added, changed, reordered, archived, restored and deleted.
  • Closings: trackers started, closed, fallen through, reopened and deleted, closing templates, and the commission defaults.
  • Lead sources: added, changed, switched on or off, given a new address, connected to Facebook or disconnected, their instant reply, and deleted.
  • Integrations and API: connections, phone numbers, texting registration, API keys, webhooks, calendars, website chat and connected mailboxes.

Changes the app made on its own, like a trial ending, are marked automatic; pick Automatic changes in the person filter to see only those.

Find a change

The filters in the header narrow the list:

  • Everyone, or one person.
  • All actions, or one kind: People and roles, Account security, Plan and billing, Workspace, Leads, Tasks and client requests, Campaigns and automations, Texting, calling and support settings, Forms, Booking pages, Pipelines and stages, Goals and availability, Reports and exports, Custom fields, Closings, Lead sources or Integrations and API.
  • Any time, Today, the last 7, 30 or 90 days, or Custom range… for the days you pick.

Each entry shows how long ago it happened; hover the time for the exact date and time. The list shows 50 changes at a time; the arrows at the bottom page through them.

Export

Export CSV downloads what's listed, with your filters, as a spreadsheet. It's there for people who can export data.

On other plans

On Starter and Pro the page says which plan has the audit log. Changes are recorded on every plan, so the whole history is there when you upgrade.
